What was your favorite part of traveling the Turquoise Trail?

The lack of traffic lights on the route in general and the lack of traffic north of Sandia Park to Madrid.

I like watching the sunset from a spot about 5 miles south of Madrid where you can see forever. It’s beautiful and well worth watching if you can time your trip well.

The favorite part of my drive was seeing the mountains in the distance and the clouds seemed as if they were sitting right on top,almost as if you could reach up and touch them if you were on top of the mountain. I think the scenery is both relaxing and breathtaking.
