Tinkertown Museum - Located along the Sandia Crest National Scenic Byway, is an amazing, animated, miniature Old West Town and Three Ring Circus set among relics from the past. Frontier humor and the thrill of the Big Top come alive in thousands of hand-carved figures. See an antique wooden boat that's been sailed around the world! Glass bottle walls enclose a potter's studio and gift shop. Open 9-6 daily, April-Oct.
Sandia Peak Ski Area - In winter enjoy Snowboarding and downhill skiing. Six lifts. Certified snow-sports school and rentals available. Open Mid-December thru Mid-March.

National Scenic Byway
On June 15, 2000 the Turquoise Trail received designation as a National Scenic Byway from the The National Scenic Byways Program after completing a comprehensive corridor management plan.The plan is available for review here »
