The Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway affords

There are a variety of horseback riding trails, miles of hiking
in wilderness. Hangliding is possible from
the top of Sandia Crest, as well as, acres of cross country skiing,
winter inner tubing, and snowshoeing.
