KMRD is a community radio station, broadcasting at 96.9FM from Madrid, New Mexico. The station went on the air in June 2015, and currently hosts over sixty freeform weekly shows produced by volunteers in our community, featuring all kinds of music, local issues and resources, and entertainment. As a Low Power FM station, KMRD is committed to independent, local programming that broadcasts to the rural communities of south Santa Fe county, and we also stream our broadcast online to the wider world at www.kmrd.fm. The station is noncommercial, and supported by our listeners and local sponsors. Tune in!

Every full weekend December 7 through December 22, 2024The Madrid Christmas Parade along Main St (Hwy 14) is Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4PM. Madrid Christmas Open House highlights include activities and refreshments in many shops each weekend through Christmas.
