Stop in the historic village of Cerrillos, just off Highway 14 and visit the 28-room hacienda of Todd and Patricia Brown. The large adobe building was built in 1975 from 65,000 hand made adobe bricks. The gift shop has fine jewelry and minerals from around the world, including New Mexico. We make over 50 different products. We mine Cerrillos Turquoise from mining claim The Little Chalchihuitl and Variscite from our White Angel claim. We set the stones in handmade sterling silver jewelry. The gift shop has turquoise rings, bracelets, pendants, money clips, tie pins and earrings. and more. Turquoise mine tours are available by advance reservation. The cost is $75.00 per person (2-4 people). Not suitable for children or dogs. The tour takes 1.5 hours and includes admission to the Mining Museum and our store rock yard.

The Mining Museum ($4) features antiques of the area, displays on the Cerrillos Mining District; a large collection of New Mexico minerals, dioramas, photos, old bottles and relics. Our motto is "Beyond these doors the past lives on". The series Dark Winds (A&E) has used the building in Series 2 and 3, and in Series 4 to air in 2026.

Visit the barn yard Petting Zoo home to several playful goats, llamas, fancy chickens and pigeons. Food to feed the animals is $4 in the Gift Shop. This is a Living Hacienda. Come by and visit!
